Privacy statement for Johan.nl - website

This privacy statement is for our business sites johan.co.uk and help.johan.co.uk.

Note: A separate privacy statement applies. Which can be found here.

Key principles:

  • We like to record as little data about you as possible. We only collect data to which we are legally required or that are necessary for the proper functioning of our platform.
  • We share this data as little as possible.
  • Why we capture data must be clear to everyone: to you as a user, to us as an organization.

What data do we collect?

Data you provide to us independently through the website.

This involves data that you enter in forms on our website. The relevant form shows for what purpose. If it is a contact form, we use that data to be able to get in touch with you. This includes your name and contact information, such as e-mail or telephone number. If the form is a newsletter subscription form, we use your e-mail address to send you the newsletter.

We never request more data from you in such forms than we need for the relevant purpose. Filling out such forms means that you give us permission to process the data you provide us with. The basic principle is that we never keep this data longer than necessary for the purpose stated and never provide it to third parties without your explicit permission.

Data for analyzing the use of our website.

We analyze the use of www.johan.nl and help.johan.nl using Google Analytics. We do this in a privacy friendly way, which is in line with the guidelines of the Personal Data Authority. For example, we never let Google Analytics process your full IP address. As a result, visits to our website can never be traced back to you personally. The data in our statistical analyses is anonymized.

We use these analyses for our own marketing and to improve our website.

Data we need to monitor our website.

We use techniques to monitor the uptime of our Web site and techniques to optimize the user experience. The data we collect in the process, like our analytics, is anonymized and, that is, cannot be traced back to you.

Data we use to analyze the use of our newsletters.

(Only applicable if you subscribe to our newsletter.) We use MailerLite to send emails to our newsletter subscribers. This records whether newsletters have been opened and which links the subscriber clicks on. We use this data to improve our newsletter and related activities.

IP addresses

The web server on which this website runs records your visit to this website in a log file, which records your IP address in addition to time and the page you visit. The reason for this is to see where the attack came from in case of attacks. This data is not used for anything else. Data in log files are automatically deleted periodically if they are older than a preset period and/or no longer necessary for the purpose.

For the processing of IP addresses, we invoke the legitimate interest referred to in Article 6 (1) (f.)(https://www.privacy-regulation.eu/nl/artikel-6-rechtmatigheid-van-de-verwerking-EU-AVG.htm) The justification for this can be found in paragraph 49 of law (see https://www.privacy-regulation.e u/nl/r49.htm)

Cookie's

We place functional (= technical) cookies and analytical cookies. We do not place tracking cookies. The analytical cookies (from Google Analytics) do not collect any personal data. These are only intended to gain insight into the use of our website through user statistics. Because the connection to our servers is secured by Cloudflare, among others, Cloudflare places a technically necessary cookie, which is intended solely to secure our website.

Our websites may contain references or hyperlinks to other websites outside the domain of JOHAN. JOHAN is not responsible outside this domain for the handling of those other parties with your (personal) data. For this JOHAN refers you to the privacy regulations, if any, of these other websites.
