The COPSOQ (Copenhagen Psychosocial Questionnaire) is a cross-sectoral and cross-occupational questionnaire. It is based on the scientific model of a cause-effect relationship between psychological working conditions (stressors) and reactions of working people (consequences of stress or tension).

The tool was quickly embraced worldwide and is now used in more than 25 languages for valuations of psychosocial factors at work, as well as in European scientific research projects.

The COPSOQ is an instrument designed for preventive activities. It identifies, locates and measures psychosocial risks, and facilitates the design and implementation of preventive measures and the improvement of working conditions. The results of the COPSOQ should be seen as opportunities to improve the organization of work.

HOW IT WORKS.

Here's how it works

Johan.nl has developed software that allows questionnaires to be administered in a secure and efficient manner. Conducting a survey is easy via the Johan platform.

After we have received your request, the scan will be prepared for you. Of course, you determine the schedule for the launch based on your own preparations and any activation campaigns. Read below how it works:

Preparation

The survey will be prepared through the Johan platform. You will receive a link from us that you can share. With this link, participants can register and complete the questionnaire. You will have access to our analytics dashboard to view and analyze data at group level.

Activation participants

To achieve such high participation, activation is very important. You will receive a kickstart package from us. This contains materials that you can use for your own activation campaign. Through awareness and motivation, participants are activated to participate.

Completion of questionnaire

Employees register, complete the questionnaire and can immediately view their own score profile in their personal dashboard. This supported with tips and advice via their personal and secure dashboard.

Data analysis

Johan's comprehensive analytics dashboard provides real-time insight into anonymized data for the organization or by target group (department, team, job group) and allows you to start analyzing immediately.

Real-time access to results

    The Copenhagen Psychosocial Questionnaire (COPSOQ) represents a comprehensive achievement because it is not linked to a single theory of workload. Developed in 2000 by T.S. Kristensen and V. Borg, it has gained significant international recognition and dissemination in just a few years. Conceptually, it incorporates key dimensions of the most influential psychosocial theories at work, including the Job-Strain, Demand-Control-Support and Effort-Reward-Imbalance models, as well as other theories and aspects ignored in previous instruments, for example, emotional demands or role clarity. This makes COPSOQ applicable to any workplace, whether in industry or services. Among psychosocial risk assessment tools, COPSOQ is unique because it includes population-based reference values to assess the need for action and help the decision-making process on preventive measures at the workplace level.
